The history of Viamar Logistic began in 2014, the year of its foundation, driven by the forward-looking vision of Carlo Viglietti. Initially, the structure was created with a specific goal: to act as local operating arm for the Italian parent company, Viamar Transit (already established in Spain, Guadeloupe and Réunion). However, the potential of the island and Viglietti’s determination push the company far beyond its role as a mere middleman. The founder sets an ambitious mission: to revolutionize transport and distribution in Sint Maarten, focusing on reliability, speed and obsessive customer care.
In 2017, the company’s history is hit by a painful turning point: the premature death of Carlo Viglietti. Faced with such a dramatic moment, the rudder passes into the hands of his wife, Maria Teresa Amoroso. With extraordinary strength and renewed energy, Maria Teresa collects the legacy of her husband, assisted by her children Chiara and Michel Viglietti, carrying forward that corporate dream without ever deviating from the original values, but projecting the company towards new and modern horizons.
